Ramp gradient calculator
Work out how long a ramp needs to be for a given rise and gradient, and how many landings it needs.

How it's worked out
Ramp length = rise × gradient. Common AS 1428.1 guidance: 1:14 ramps need a landing every 9 m, 1:20 walkways every 15 m, and 1:8 step ramps are limited to 1.52 m long. Landings are counted at 1.2 m each.
